Syed Azfar Hussain is a startup ecosystem leader with over 15 years of experience driving innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship in Pakistan. He has supported more than 500 startups, helping them secure over PKR 13 billion in investment, generate PKR 12 billion in revenue, and create over one million jobs — having reviewed 5,000+ pitch decks and mentored 1,000+ founders along the way.
He currently serves as Project Director at the National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi, where he leads programs fostering scalable entrepreneurship, industry-academia collaboration, and innovation-led policy development. Earlier, he founded NIC Hyderabad and established Pakistan's first science-based incubator at ICCBS.
A strong advocate for inclusive innovation, Azfar has organized Pakistan's largest women-focused hackathons and led multiple civic-tech initiatives. His mission is to empower founders, attract global investment, and position Pakistan as a competitive force in the global innovation economy.
